Ghana Youth News-The Young African Leaders Network Ghana (YALN) is inviting Ghanaian youth led and youth focused organisations as well as individuals to participate in a mega youth forum to be held in Accra.
The forum, YALN Safe Space Event takes off on Saturday 18th August, 2018 as part of YALN’s commemoration of UN International Youth Day Celebration.
The event will take place at the Impact Hub, Osu- Accra.
The programme which begins at 10:00am is under the theme “Creating Safe Spaces to empower Youth Organizations to make impact”
President of YALN Emmanuel Osei explains to Bernard Buachi of rawgist.com that “through this event, we seek to create an enabling environment for youth groups to engage in discussions, share knowledge, encourage participation in a cross-sectional learning activities while creating a take away package from deliberations and identify specific actionable projects.
We hope that when such safe spaces are created for the Ghanaian and marginalized youth organisations, it will further influence youth engagement for long term development. It is also expected that youth organisations would find their relevant positions in achieving the global goals”.
Youth organizations will have the opportunity to make presentations on their organisations, training sessions on Business Model Development, proposal writing, Scholarship searches among a host of others.
YALN is a registered not for profit organization. It is a network of young professionals and tertiary students that seek to promote the development of entrepreneurial skills, civic advocacy, youth mentorship and public leadership in Ghana.
The Event is expected to better individuals and organisations for nation building and attainment of SDGs – Mennel restated.
