A Policeman Sunday morning shot himself dead in Accra.
44 year-old Sgt. Emmanuel Amede according to ghanagong.com’s sources within the Police service shot himself with an AK 47 rifle inside his room at Nungua Police Barracks.
“The deceased suddenly woke up from sleep and asked his wife and children to leave the room or he would kill them. The wife drew the attention of the neighbours. The Policeman however shot himself in the throat before they arrived at the scene” our source disclosed.
Crime scene Management team from the CID Headquarters was called in to handle the situation.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Police hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
