Police have arrested six suspects in connection with the murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein Suale.
The suspects have since been granted bail.
Police Public Relations Officer ACP David Eklu in a media briefing in Kumasi confirmed the development to journalists.
He said three others have also been cautioned. They include Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, Ace Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Former Ghana Football Association Boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
ACP Eklu added that investigations are ongoing and that police will do the needful to bring the perpetrators to book
He says Police are crosschecking information given them by the public and are also trying to get an artist to help create artist impressions that will help in identifying the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
ACP Eklu confirmed the arrests to journalists February 7, 2019.
Undercover investigator and a key member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye Private Investigations team, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, was shot dead 16th January, 2019.
Ahmed was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck late Wednesday night at Madina in Accra while he was driving home by unidentified men on a motorbike
