
Akpini Chiefs Commend Mahama For Selecting Asiamah As BoG Governor
The Chiefs and people of the Akpini Traditional Area have commended the President for selecting Dr. Johnson Pandid Kwesi Asiamah as Governor of the Bank of Ghana.
In a Press Statement, Togbui Dagadu IX, the Paramount Chief of the Akpini Traditional Area, expressed the gratitude of the people to President John Mahama for finding their son worthy to occupy such high office.
The spokesperson said the appointment of their illustrious son, Dr. Johnson Asiamah was testament of his hard work at the BoG where he served previously as deputy Governor.
“This distinguished appointment is a testament to his unwavering dedication, competence, and vast experience in the financial sector, and we are profoundly grateful that you have recognized his abilities by entrusting him with this critical role”, the spokesperson stated.

The Paramount Chief added that, they are confident that under his leadership, the Bank of Ghana will continue to foster sound monetary policies that will enhance economic development and improve the livelihoods of all Ghanaians.
“Once again, we express our sincere appreciation, assure you of our continued prayers, and support for your leadership and government”, he concluded.
The Chiefs and people also asked for blessings from the Almighty on their native and the President, asking God to protect them and grant them wisdom as they continue to serve the nation.
