Nana Yaw Wiredu, the Assembly member for Ahensan-Estate electoral area has commended Chief Akwannuasa Gyimah, Asokwa Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for being security conscious.

According to the experienced local legislative member, the Asokwa MCE in just four months in his tenure has ensured every single community within the municipality has street lights.

This, he noted has helped to lighten up the communities within the municipality and enabled the Police to commence night patrols with ease.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newsapaper at the start of the new-year, Nana Yaw praised the Asokwa MCE for being a proactive leader.

‘’I am happy that the President chose for Asokwa a chief executive who is not only action oriented but a security and development conscious man and some of us are very proud of the modest achievements the Assembly has chalked during his short stint as head of the Municipality’’, Nana Yaw praised.

PROSPECTS:

Expressing hope for the new-year, the executive member of the Municipal Assembly indicated the readiness of the elected assembly members to partner in developing the Asokwa municipality with the MCE.

The Assembly members, he noted are bent on seeing development in their respective localities.

This, he noted informs their decision to support the MCE and the Assembly to carry out all the development agenda it has for the peoples of the localities.

Asokwa, the Assembly man noted from the plans the MCE is initiating will become one of the most developed municipalities in Ghana very soon.

‘’I am clear in my mind that with the support of the assembly members coupled with that of our MCE the Asokwa municipality will be developed to a level where it will become one of the best in Ghana with good roads’’, the Ahensan-Estate member posited.

SANITATION:

On sanitation issues, the assembly member noted the vigorous attention the Assembly will be putting to addressing all issues in the municipality.

He said every community would be tasked to do its best to do away with conditions that supports the breeding of mosquitoes.

Wayside filth and indiscriminate dumping of refuse would be checked by the Assembly, Nana Yaw noted.

He stressed the imposition of fines on people who litter around and along the streets so as to serve as deterrent to others who may have the intent of doing same.
