Rapper M.anifest says there is nothing wrong with “beefs”.
He says lyrical rivalry or beefs are ok “as long as it helps us make better music”. The celebrated Ghanaian rapper compares “beefing” to boxing saying “though you may get some swelling on your head, you shake hands after it all”.
He however advised that “beefing” artistes do not lose focus of their mission. “Bigger than the competition is the mission. Artistes need to maintain the focus” he stressed.
He says his relationship with Sarkodie and Shatta Wale is cordial though he has not met any of them in a while. “They are doing dope stuff and should be supported” he said.
M.anifest who was on Rhythms live on GHOne TVwith Eli Kharis also reveals that he leans towards the feminism. “It’s very easy to ignore what has become common place just because it doesn’t affect you”. He says he is quick to call out folks who misbehave towards women. “Sometimes we want to perform being a man though that’s not what we believe. I don’t have to perform the idea of being a man because I’m not twelve years anymore” he said and encouraged men to take all women as their sisters and treat them well and with dignity.
