Mr Robert Asare Bediako, an Ashanti Regional Chairman hopeful has rubbished claims that the recent insults poured on him by Bernard Antwi-Boasiako the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is scaring him.
In an exclusive chat with the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper, Mr Bediako said he was unfazed by the unfortunate attitude of the regional chairman.
According to him, he considers Chairman Antwi-Boasiako as a son and would not get his head worried over the behavior of someone who is now cutting his teeth in politics.
Mr Bediako, the incumbent constituency chairman for Asokwa said his immediate priority is to launch a focused campaign that will help him win the upcoming elections to pursue a better agenda for the mass of NPP members in Ashanti.
‘’My son I must tell you nothing scares me and it will not take insults to derail me from seeking the mandate to serve my fellow party members the best way I think they ought to be served’’, Mr Bediako noted with passion.

Recounting to this reporter, Chairman Bediako said since the infamous insults on his person many party big wigs in the NPP across the country have been calling day and night to express support for him.
This, he mentioned has rather emboldened him to forge ahead in attaining the target he has set for himself to accomplish in few months time.
‘’My son, since the day the regional chairman decided to insult me on Kasapa radio and Nhyira Fm, I have received countless calls from both party sympathizers and supporters who have encouraged me to step up my game’’, Chairman Bediako noted.
According to him, except God Almighty tells him to stop aiming for the regional chairmanship position nothing will force him to change his mind.
‘’I am not seeking to contest for the regional chairmanship for my personal gain but to respond to the numerous and silent calls many constituency chairmen and party people have been making to me to help rescue the NPP from an autocratic hand.

The Asokwa Chairman expressed delight at the way people are calling to finance his regional chairmanship bid.
This, he noted tells him that people are fed up with the current leadership where one person seem to be dictating the pace of everything that is done in the NPP in Ashanti.
According to him, the NPP is a democratic party and therefore everyone who has been elected to be part of the regional executive should be made to function in his or her role properly.
