A leading member of the New Patriotic Party; Fred Amankwah-Sarfo has criticized former President John Mahama for his utterances on the free SHS policy introduced by the NPP government.
Fred Amankwah-Sarfo who was on GHone’s newspaper review Monday morning says the former President should be answering to issues raised during the trial of Mr. Abuga Pele. He says John Mahama’s name was mentioned a number of times in that trial; a situation he says impugns his integrity.
“Your name has been mentioned a number of times during the trial, he is your appointee. You have not said anything about that but you find time to talk about free SHS? Wait there is more to come”, he said.
Former President John Mahama is reported to have criticized the “poor implementation of the free SHS policy” and stated that it could turn out being counterproductive.
The former President reportedly made these statements when he addressed the party faithful at the Sixth National Democratic Congress (NDC) unity walk at Somanya in the Eastern Region.
Fred Amankwah-Sarfo however believes the former President should be cleaning his name after that trial that saw the former National Coordinator of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency(GYEEDA) sentenced to a 6-year jail term for willfully causing financial loss to the State.
