The Senior Pastor of the Seventh-Day Pentecostal Assemblies, Elder Enoch Ofori- Jnr has tasked leaders of African Nations to forcefully resist pressure from the West to accept substandard human behaviors.
Lifestyles such as gayism, bestiality and pedophilia, the Minister of the Gospel noted are all evil and rebellious in the sight of God.
Addressing this year’s convention of the Church at the campus of Kumasi High School at Gyinyase, a community in the Asokwa Municipality, Elder Ofori charged the church as well as African leaders to show their abhorrence to any cultures that are at variance to Christian and godly values.
According to him, the African by nature has shown his high form of spirituality and closeness to God Almighty and must not compromise that stance for anything material.
‘’From scriptures and historical facts the African has been seen to be an ardent believer in the existence of the Most High God who created the universe and mankind and therefore as a people we should not allow the West who are moving away from the belief in God to poison us with any substandard lifestyles’’, Elder Ofori passionately stressed.
COMMITMENT:
Elder Ofori urged the church and African leaders to demonstrate their belief in God by the way they live their lives.
This, he noted will confound the West to respect the continent as a people who demonstrate high moral standards and reverence to God.
The Seventh Day leader cautioned African leaders from kowtowing to the dictates of the West because they need help or aid.
He therefore commended the NPP government for declaring a Ghana beyond aid vision, adding this is the only way the country could wean itself from the clutches of the West who are bent on using aid to subject poor countries to debasing behaviors.
‘’It is important that as a country we rally behind the Ghana beyond Aid vision of our President and urge other African leaders to declare same so that we can wean ourselves from the trappings of the West who dole out aid to colonize us with their sinful and substandard behaviors’’ Elder Ofori posited.
PREDICTION:
Elder Ofori promised a better year for the country as it enters into 2019 and urged the people to work hard to achieve the desired results.
He noted God can only bless the work of the hands of people and make them prosperous and highly successful.
The Church leader tasked the youth to use their productive years into ventures that would help them get a better future.
Tendencies such as cyber-crime (sakawa), occultism, robbery and other vices, Elder Ofori noted alienates people from God and urged the youth to serve God while they have strength.
‘’I urge the Ghanaian Youth to embrace God at this early stage of their lives and use their strengths in ventures that will help them build a better future for themselves and the society they live in’’, the Church leader advised.
