MASLOC CEO; Stephen Amoah Tuesday morning lent credence to rumors that he had been impressed upon not to contest the sitting MP for Nhyiaeso in the Ashanti region.
Stephen Amoah who was empaneled together with NDC’s Sam George on Metro TV’s Good morning Ghana programme had a very difficult time answering a simple question of whether or not he will pick nomination forms to contest in his party’s primaries.
He fumbled for several minutes as answers eluded him and eventually said whether or not he would pick forms was something he intended to keep to his chest as a matter of strategy and tactics. According to him, his decision should come as a surprise to the people.
Sam George alleged the President has impressed on him not to pick forms. Mr. Amoah confirmed that there were indeed rumors to that effect out there.
He also advised his party; the NPP to manage the desire to protect some sitting MPs very well in order not to cause problems for the party.
The NPP opened nominations on Monday ahead of its upcoming presidential and parliamentary primaries slated for April 25, 2020.
