Ghana News-MINISTER Charles Richardson Asante, a famous worship leader at the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) has asked Christians to let their daily lives be an act of worship to God.
This, he noted is the only way they can properly and adequately project Christ to the people of the world.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper during the church’s five day fasting and prayer program in Kumasi, Brother Charles, as the worship leader is fondly referred to by CCC members indicated that his desire is to perpetually sing to the Lord all the days of his life.
According to the worship leader, true worship is when the individual’s private and public life can be traced to be reflective of Christ.
‘’I love to sing but the greatest form of worship I have come to understand is when one allows God to use his or her life as an act of worship daily’’, Rev Asante posited.
WORSHIP MINISTRY:
Recalling how his birth and early days in Accra were, Bro Charles said her mum at the delivery ward in Korle Bu received an unusual visitation that heralded who he would become in future.
A John Teye Memorial School pupil in the late 70’s, Charles says his singing talent started at a tender age where he used his mum’s kitchen utensils to practice anytime he helped with food preparation.
Later events including two prophecies from the legendary T.L Osborne, an American Minister of the Gospel and Archbishop Benson Idahosa, a famous Nigerian faith preacher helped to shape my life, Minister Charles revealed in the interview.
Having joined CCC in I993 when his parents relocated to Kumasi, an unknown Charles was elevated from singing at all night services to the main church when he was noticed by Mrs Joyce Obeng, wife of the General Overseer of CCC.
‘’I have by God’s grace grown from Deputy Director of Music to Worship leader in CCC rejecting several enticing offers from other Charismatic churches in Ghana to focus on the call of God on my life’’, Minister Asante summed up.
ADMONITION:
Explaining how he became grounded in the Christian faith, Minister Charles credited his current state to the ministry of Reverend Ransford Obeng.
According to the Worship leader, being a musician or gospel minister is not all about singing but the ability to allow God’s word to shape you to become a proper Christian.
He asked that Christians learn to be content with what God gives them and work with the talent he has embedded in them.
Minister Asante who is readying with a single album later this year, urged Christians to be patient when they encounter troubles in life since God weaves everything in place for them that wait on him.
‘’As humans we must trust the God who created and called us into ministry so that when our training is complete he can launch us out’’, Minister Charles intimated.
