Military-Police-Clash -Information available to ghanagong.com is that some army personnel have beaten some personnel of the Ghana Police Service including a patrol team leader.
According to our sources, on 25th November, 2018 at around 5:20PM, the Suntreso Police intercepted a message from the Police information room in Kumasi that a Police Officer on duty at the Sofoline lorry terminal had been attacked by a group of army personnel from the 4th Garrison in Kumasi.
In response to that, the Suntreso Patrol team led by Sgt. Slim Laar was dispatched to the scene to rescue the affected officer. The Patrol team got to the scene and could not locate the Officer in question. They were later told by bystanders that the officer accompanied the soldiers to the military barracks.
The Patrol team reportedly pursued their captured officer to the barracks. On their way to the barracks, a group of soldiers emerged from the bush, blocked the road and pounced on the Police Patrol team leader who was wielding a service rifle loaded with ten rounds of ammunition and assaulted him.
Our sources say the culprits escaped when rovers arrived at the scene of the confrontation. They managed to bolt with the magazine of the rifle.
The Police Officers have been issued medical forms to attend hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile no arrest has been made.

Clashes between personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces and their counterparts from the Police service is becoming a cause for concern among many.
Readers may recall the gory example that occurred in the Northern regional capital after a soldier was picked up for allegedly beating his wife in May this year.
A near bloodbath in the Upper East after some soldiers beat up a Policeman over a military uniform is also still fresh in the minds of many.
