Akyem Akrosohene has urged former President John Mahama to unite the NDC once elected flagbearer of the party.
Nana Kwabena Ofori II who recounted the massive infrastructural development championed by former NDC regimes especially the recent John Mahama administration.
“We remember all you did for us as President. We pray that you remember Akrosoman if you become President again. We know you have good intentions for Akroso and neighbouring communities” the Chief said.
He made the remarks when Former President and Aspiring flagbearer of the NDC; John Dramani Mahama paid a courtesy call on him at his Palace at Akroso in the Upper West Akim Constituency of the Eastern Region.
For his part; Former President John Mahama also stressed the need for unity in the party. He says the struggle for flagbearer of the NDC should not divide the party. “We will all rally behind whoever wins and get the victory for the party. I however believe in God that JM will emerge victorious in the primaries and go ahead to win election 2020” he assured.
Mr. Mahama is rounding up his five day campaign tour of the Eastern Region as he woos delegates for votes ahead of the NDC Presidential primaries. He was accompanied by top former government appointees including former Chief of Staff; Hon. Julius Debra and some sitting and previous Members of Parliament.
